Airil Haimi Mohd Adnan is an active public academic and research scholar, in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. With an H-index of ​24, Google Knowledge Panel / Graph identifies him as ‘Malaysian Researcher’, ‘Researcher’ and ‘Author’.


He holds a PhD, three Master’s degrees, two Bachelor degrees, two advanced diplomas and several postgraduate certificates in ​multi-disciplines including education studies, applied linguistics, and applied social sciences. Being a multidisciplinary social ​scientist with 22+ years of experience, he has received awards and recognitions nationally and internationally, including being ​elected Member of the Royal Institution (UK) at a young age.


Today, Airil continues to research and write about multidisciplinary topic areas, adding to the 200+ proceeding papers, journal ​articles, book chapters and books that he has written. He regularly reviews manuscripts for international publications like ​Forum Qualitative Sozialforschung, Heliyon, International Journal of Multicultural Education, PLOS One, Social Sciences & ​Humanities Open, and TESL e-Journal - to list but a few.


Presently, he is ‘Thought Leader’ and Research Fellow at HRDCorp Malaysia, Professor III (Full) at Polytechnic University of the ​Philippines, together with holding Senior Academic and Research Fellowships in Asia and Europe. He has served and continues ​to serve as Visiting Scholar and Expert Adviser in/to many institutions and organisations in Malaysia and in Brunei, India, ​Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, New Zealand, and recently Greece.


For the last two years, Airil was Senior Principal Assistant Director at the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. He is known ​for his advocacy for Education 4.0 and future learning initiatives. As a chartered counselling skills practitioner and unyielding ​advocate of contemporary and societal issues, he has written 600+ media articles and appeared 200+ times on radio and ​television channels in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia.
